The Modi government can make a big announcement for government central employees on Independence Day (August 15) this time. This includes the announcement of increase in wage allowance in the 7th wage commission. This claim has been made in different media reports.
However, the government has rejected the possibility of additional allowance in Parliament in the 7th Pay Commission. Minister of Finance in the Lok Sabha Radhakrishnan said, "There is no government plan to increase the minimum daily minimum by the recommendation of the 7th Pay Commission." One report has said that the employee is optimistic about it because the Modi government has increased the minimum support price (MSP) at present. This also gives employees more hope for minimum wages. The government has increased the MSP of kharif crops one and a half times.
Government pays 26 thousand minimum bills
Employees are hopeful that Prime Minister Narendra Modi can increase the wages along with retirement age to 62 plus. It will benefit about 10 million central employees. Employees are seeking to raise minimum wage from 18,000 to 26000. In January 2016, salaries of central employees increased by 14 percent. However, the employee was not happy with it. Because this increase was less compared to cost of living and rising inflation. Government employees are demanding that the minimum wage and the fitment factor be increased.
